Module 2: Drawing Lesson Video
We draw the lotus, render in light and shadow, and learn realistic drawing practices.
Module 3: Painting Lesson Video 1
We do a base coat wash in all of the colors of the painting. Then we mix and block in the foundational colors of the flower and leaves.
Module 4: Painting Lesson Video 2
We paint the light and shadow of the flower, the details in the leaves and petals, and mix specific colors for the different regions of the flower.
Module 5: Bonus & Next Steps
- Individuals who already have some painting and drawing skills and want to explore more complex techniques

How Does It Work?
The kit and supplies are mailed to your front door. The pace of this project is then set by you! Each kit comes with a video class series to follow. The videos show the instructor creating the project with you in real time. The student can email the instructor at any time for feedback. You have access to the video for 12 months!
Meet Your Instructor
Allison is a lifelong studio artist and designer who resides in Chicago, Illinois. She has produced and sold her work in Chicago area art fairs and galleries nationwide. Most recently, she was one of the awarded artists in the national juried exhibition at the Tubac Center of the Arts in Tubac, Arizona. Allison has her BFA in Studio Art from Miami University, Oxford, OH.

What’s the difference between Beginner and Intermediate?
Beginner classes are tailored for those with minimal art experience. If you're new to painting, our Beginner box is perfect. If you want to progress or challenge yourself, opt for Intermediate. Intermediate classes move quicker, completing two paintings and four drawings in four weeks, while Beginners focus on one in a month.
What ages are these classes for?
The Beginner and Intermediate classes are for ages 11 and up, classes usually run 45-60 minutes weekly. The Jr. Homeschool Class runs 30 minutes and is for 2nd-4th grade. The regular Homeschool Class runs 40 minutes and is for 5th grade and up. When selecting a class, please take into account that some classes may involve the use of acrylic paint, which is non-washable.
Can I pick and choose what artwork I get to make?
Each month, we concentrate on a specific painting due to live instruction and nationwide participation. Yet, you're free to explore your creativity! Our instructors assist with techniques, but you're not bound to replicate the painting. Mixing it up is encouraged.
Do the classes build?
They progress each month but not sequentially. You can join anytime without missing out.
